I received a painful news just an hour ago. A friend and classmate passed away this morning due to kidney cancer. The famous "heARTIST" as he was called, Joselito "Joey" Velasco returned to our Maker who he lovingly proclaimed through his works.

For those of you who have seen the famous "Hapag ng Pag-asa" (Table of Hope) painting or have read his book "They have Jesus", will know the inspiration this man has given to many people.

May his struggles and enlightenment inspire us to care for our less fortunate brethren.
