Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro, is a man of unquestionable reputation. We have seen him work and accomplish his responsibilities as the Secretary of Defense and Chairperson of the National Disaster Coordinating Council. He has proven his skills and capacity in steering the people to come together and move as one unit of the nation.
In running for the presidency, Gibo Teodoro has specific plans to further unite the country so we can move forward and improve ourselves. The cores of his platform are health, peace and order and education. As early as now, Gibo has already envisioned a better Philippines under his wing.
On Education
Gibo recognizes the importance of education in the improvement of our country. He plans to work on education reform which will improve the school curriculum to make our youth competitive in different areas. His goal is to have at least one college student in every family.
Education is the right of every Filipino child. Gibo takes education to another level by not only wanting to educate the children but providing them with quality education regardless of socio-economic status.
Linking Islands
As part of improving the economy, Gibo realizes the importance of having a seamless system of transportation that would link the many islands of our country together. In an interview he expressed the importance of planning for the future and thinking ahead. He said that we should not only be thinking of today. We should also anticipate what might happened in the years to come. By building roads that would link most parts of the country, local trading and marketing would be a lot easier for the Filipinos.
Poverty
When Gibo Teodoro wins the presidential elections, he plans to end the practice of contractualization and increase job opportunities for the people. He also wants to focus on expanding foreign trade and investments. With a globally competitive economy, poverty will be reduced and lives will improve.
