Gary V. arrested in Qatar

Gary Valenciano was detained at Qatar International Airport for four hours due for travelling without a passport. According to manager/wife Angeli Pangilinan who confirmed the arrest, “Something was preventing him from doing his show in Qatar.” Added Angeli, “We can’t imagine how he lost his passport!” But the Qataris more than made up for the breach of the well-known Arab hospitality. Qatar Minister of Health Dr. George Kulamana would like to honor him because he is National Ambassador of UNICEF for the Philippines. Also the Emir’s wife, Her Highness Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al Missned of the Qatar Foundation (for education, science and community development) sent a beautiful plaque gift for Gary. The people of Qatar made Gary’s show a sold-out concert. Promoter Dahlia Suratos sold over 6,000 tickets.
