Bangsamoro deal, will there be peace?
just wanna share this overwhelming killings happened the other morning...
Today, our country leaders contempt the inhumane killings of the bandit group MILF among peace-loving civilians in Mindanao..
The group is treacherous and excuse no one. So the tendency therefore for civilian is absolutely to protect their own territories, families and belongings... sling with weaponries and depend...
For all my fellow mindanaoans... Before attempting to exhume your "Lolo's anting- anting" and rejoining the legendary "ILAGA" here is a brief background of this controversial deal courtesy of our ever "effiSHIT" GMA government.
This is on the memorandum of agreement (MOA) on ancestral domain between the Phil. government and the MILF which was supposed to be signed on Aug. 5 in Kuala Lumpur (the Malaysian government acted as the intermediary). However a day before it the Supreme Court, by a unanimous decision, issued a TRO (temporary restraining order, to those unfamiliar with legal terms this is in Ilonggo, "Time Pa Anay") halting the so called Moroland deal.
So what is in MOA (is also for Mall Of Asia? :D
It grants an expanded ARMM (Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao) its own basic law, an internal security force, a system of banking and finance, civil service, education and legislative institutions, full authority to develop and dispose of minerals and natural resources. The government of the proposed MILF- controlled area would aslo have the power to send trade missions overseas and to enter into international arrangements (lifted from THE PDI 8-4-08).
Scrutinizing the deal, it is tantamount to ceding/ granting part of the Phil. territory to the MILF and could further open the door for their declaration of independence. No less than the Peace Adviser (of GMA) on the Peace Process, "Retreat" este retired Gen. Hermogenes Esperon was quoted as saying that the proposed Bangsamoro Juridical Entity (BJE) is "a State within a State" (but there is no such an animal in our Pol. Sci. 101, remember, so this is the frame of mind our government negotiators have and that makes it doubly scary!)
Not a few observers said that this was a clever move for GMA to stay in power beyond 2010(flaming war bet. Christians and Muslims in Mindanao thereby declaring Martial Law and dousing the plans of another Malacanang resident wannabee, the ever pa cute Sen. "Loren Loren sinta" Legarda.)
