To All Filipino Chess Players,

In cognizant to the successful staging of 1st FILCOA Chess Team Tournament, everything is set again to unfold the 2009 FILCOA Individual Chess Championship to be held in 3 consecutive Fridays beginning July 3, 2009 and will end on July 17, 2009 at FANAR Qatar Islamic Cultural Center. This event is organized by Filipino Community Organizations Alliance (FILCOA) in cooperation with the Filipino Chess Players League - Qatar.

The tournament format shall be played in Nine (9) Rounds Swiss System and the allotted time is twenty five (25) minutes for each player to finish the game. In case of a tie, the Sonneborn-Berger (Partial Score Method) will be used.

Registration fee is Qrs. 20/- and the deadline for registration will be on July 3, 2009 at 1:30pm.
