Which primary school?

We are considering a move to Doha in the New Year from Australia. Which primary schools would you recommend for a six and eight year old? Is Newton International in West Bay a good school? Has anyone heard about the Newton British School? British Montessori School? Is the Qatar International School good or would we be better trying to get into Park House or Doha College. What is the Chouiefat International School? I realise that it might just be a case of where we can find a place - but what would people recommend if finding a place wasn't a problem? Is it better to follow the British Curriculum or the Int'l Primary School / Int'l Bacc. system at primary level? I assumed that including Arabic on the curriculum would give the kids a more well rounded cultural experience but one school I've spoken to says that by not including it on the curriculum enables the kids to focus more on the other studies and make better progress??? In very early stages of research; lots of questions - much confusion. Would appreciate any info!!

Is not a matter about which primary school, it is a matter which school will take your kids in.

As UKEngQatar said, apply to every school you could think off and then see which one offer your child/s a space/spaces.

Although I heard if your company working for certain companies they can pull some strings at certain school.

Not the best time of year to be coming to Doha from schooling point of view.. Very hard to get a place in any primary school due to long waiting list. My advice is apply for every and all schools. The places will become available but you might have to wait..Good Luck..

PS be prepared for home schooling just in case..
