It depends more upon your aptitude and career ambition rather than public opinion.

Normally girls go for less physically strenuous careers like Electronics, Computers, Electrical, Biomedical and Architecture. I feel Electronics is a safe bet for job opportunities, but then I can jdge only by your interest in field. However if you have extra ordinary interest in topics as Mechanical & Civil Engineering and ready to tackle boys in their ground, go for these. If you have the passion for the subject after graduation, opt for an MS in USA to further your chosen field of expertise. Else, if your career aim is to rise above an Engineer and into managing engineers, opt for an MBA.

Best career wishes !

Yar for girls, those engineering fields which are done mostly in offices like Computer related Engineering or Some part of Electrical also, same with Chemical Engineering.

And upto my knowledge Civil and Mechanical Engineering are tough for girls not in terms of study but in terms of "field work"

If you are good in mathematics then YOU can do any ENGINEERING!

All the best girl!
