Whats the crack with: Ta'allum Group of School - Al-Jazeera & Al Maha Schools
I've just been offered a job with the Ta'allum Group of schools, I don't know exactly which school yet, but wanted to find out some information regarding the school, anything will help really, all info i have found so far is out of date, I know that there is a new principal in place now.
Thank you in advance. Zak
Hey Guys, is it the same terrible condition prevails for non-teaching staff too at Ta'allum group? One of my friend has accepted their non-teaching staff job offer recently, Any suggestions in this regard is highly appreciated.
Thanks in-advance!!
If you want to know how bad things are at Ta'allum......simply read 'International School Reviews'
Teachers now leaving due to contracts being renegotiated (no salary increase despite promises in skype interviews and housing allowance being inadequate to provide decent housing) mid-way through a 2 year term.
Im used to unrully kids, ive worked in PRU's and schools with poor behaviour before, but i will not work for peanuts, i think i need to reconsider my offer. Have you signed the contract?
I've worked in Dubai and the situation is the same with unruly pupils. When did you do your interview with Taallum?
Zak,
I've been offerred a job there also, start in September. I'm getting a little concerned regarding some of what I've been reading. But won't know until I get there, obviously.
I don't know which school I'm being sent to either.
Hi...... I wish you luck. Lots of teachers are leaving midway through the contracts. High teacher turnover is routine with this group, mostly cos the student discipline is awful. Not so bad if the students who are just plain arrogant and disrespectful and were actually suspended or even expelled (some should be) but the family influence has a lot to do with it. Expect to be treated like a maid by some of them. Senior managemenbt seem to rotate annually. You could look at International School Review website, lots of negative stuff about the schools on there.
Good luck anyway. :(
