i think you better put your 3 yr old in a play school/nursery rather than a school. i was just going thru the admission syllabus for my 3 1/2 yr old for Kg 1 in birla. and it really shocked me. (http://www.bpsdoha.edu.qa/html/atowadmsyllabus.htm)

1. The child should be able to comprehend and communicate in English.

2. He / She should be able to speak at least 2 – 3 sentences about self and family.

3. Should be Toilet – Trained

4. Should be able to identify the following:

ENGLISH – Recognition, Vocabulary, phonic sound and writing capital and small letters Ll, Ii, Vv, Ww, Xx, Yy

Numbers – Counting 1 – 40, Recognition and writing numbers (1, 4, 7, 10,6 )

Colours (Red, Blue, Green, Pink, Black, Orange, White, Yellow )

Shapes (Circle, Semi-circle, Triangle, Rectangle, Square)

Flowers, Parts of the body

Fruits / Vegetables

Some of the things my child could handle but...the portion is too hectic. I wonder if it is the same in all schools.
