one of my certificate of post graduation is in laminated form.the university sent it in laminated certificate.now i want to attest it.but how could i remove the lamination?i tried with ironing and peeling and ended with torns on edges..help me please
you can send it your certificate for attestation. They know how to attestation in the lamination certificate.already many people are attested like that your not the first people. But after attestation your certificate get some damage (especially laminated certificate) that we can't do any thing.already many existing people are attested so don't worry
•First, place a towel or some other thin cloth (about the thickness of a pillow case) between the iron and the document - allow it to get as hot as possible with out burning the towel/cloth and do not allow the documents plastic laminate to start curling. If it starts to curl you could damage the document.
Once it gets hot enough you should be able to peel off the plastic, with out damage to the document. You may need to repeat the process several times.
If that doesnt work for you, or your lamination was done by simply melting two pieces of plastic together, in which case there is the "air line" you can simply cut the document along that lines and peel.
Hope you will able to manage it
in your case you can request your university to issue you again a new certificate as you damaged your previous certificate..if again they will give you a laminated one.. never try to remove the lamination...
i just don't understand why you took time removing the lamination of your certificate...of course you're gonna damage and tear it apart... i have no idea how in your country attest/authenticate the university certificates... where in fact it's not actually the original certificate that the ministry of foreign affairs here in Qatar will ask for.. they will look for the red ribboned document authenticated by the foreign affairs of your country.. i went there before with my original university certificate and they did not accept it for stamping instead they asked me for the red ribboned document from philippine ministry of foreign affairs...
in the Philippines, certificate attestation/authentication does not require original certificate to be stamped on it...whether it's laminated or not is not a problem..
only a photocopy of certificate is required and then the university will send it to CHED (commission on higher educ.) then to ministry of foreign affairs where it will be authenticated as true document with red ribbon...
this document with red ribbon will be the one to be submitted to phil embassy here in qatar for stamping afterwhich will be sent to qatar foreign affairs for final stamping....
