Would you recommend a Dodge Durango?
A question for the car experts. We are thinking of buying a 2nd hand Dodge Durango but are concerned about the availability & cost of spare parts here in Qatar and the level of service provided by Dodge here, would hate for the car to spend weeks on end at the Dodge garage (which I believe is the same as the Jeep garage?). Should we be worried? Would you recommend a Dodge Durango for a family with 2 small children? Or is a Ford Explorer a better option? We won't be doing any heavy duty dune bashing with it, just transporting the family around Doha and the odd gentle offroad drive when we go to the beach. Thanks :)
I owned a Dodge Durango 2012 model and currently using it like 7 month allready. Dodge is american car so it is super big comparing with japanese car and if you tall like me it is relaxing
and suspensions are unlike japanese car very soft because it is independent suspension system very comfortable.entertainment systems are super even you can watch dvd at the car. You can find all spare parts also in rockauto.com and by airfright you can bring it with cheap price. Carmaxx or some mechanic work shop you can install it.
does any one know the cost of Maijor service for Durango 2007 90000 km?
I would not recommend this vehicle. Buy a LC or Patrol. If new is out of the price range, buy used.
Hi, I am a current owner of a Dodge Durango which I have now had for 8 months. We bought it 2nd hand at 2 years old and haven't had any problems with it, I would definitely recommend it and having had 2 minor crashes in it have also found the spares parts easy to find at a farely low cost. My only problem with it is although an 8 seater having 5 children we are a bit cramped (not sure if any other cars are any bigger,) being a family of 4 you will find it very roomy lol. The car drives like a dream and is very powerful. Enjoy your Dodge if you buy it.
you wont find much
Thanks! Any more opinions welcome. I would especially like to hear from current Dodge owners!
Dodge Durango is a good product. You have to face the usual difficulties with the dealer as same as Ford and Jeep. All these companies are taken care by Al Mana and its not that much attractive in terms of after sales.
I don't think it is correct choice if you want to experience off road driving in that. For that you have to select LC, Patrol or Hummer. But Durango have more big interior when you compare to other models which is really enjoyable with your kids and family.
Get a Toyota Landcruiser.. you can flash your headlights too and also scare the livi'g sh*& outta people...
