Hi, I'll be i Doha for about half a day. Can someone tell me if there are any decent malls closer to the Doha airport? I've heard of the Landmark and Villagio mall. Out of the 2 which is closer to airport?

May I ask what your requirement is? Though most of them say that Villaggio or City Center is 20 mts away, I really doubt whether you could reach there in 20 mts. Let us know your requirements. You may get better options if you disclose them

Doha is a small city. Villagio is just 20 minutes from the Airport so shouldn't be bad. The Mall is near, about 5 minutes from the airport, but really small and nothing you can do there. Don't go to The Mall, it is small and I would really recommend you go to Villagio. Or go to the City Centre Mall which is about 20 minutes too so you can see the skyline.

Forget the Malls

All have the same boring stores. For a much more pleasant day have the taxi take you to Souq Waqif.

As above, the Mall is the Closest, next depending on Traffic would be City Centre or Landmark (using new road about 10-15 min drive with good traffic).

The Mall is Small, Landmark is Larger, City Centre is Big. If you want to shop then you need to spend as much time in the Mall as Possible with as much choice so City Centre Probably Best. If you just want to Visit a mall, cos you are a mall but not a shopping nut, then try to get to Villagio it is probably the most spectactular and unique with various shops and Boutique type shops as well.

If your time here is Mid Morning to Afternoon then Villagio is possible, if you are travelling in Morning, Lunchtime or Evening Traffic then forget it.

Whichever mall you go, you would be wasting a lot of time in horrible traffic here, so do consider that in your trip.
