which camera should i buy
hei guys i m planning to buy a DSLR camera and its my first time so dont know much about them
i saw a canon D1000 today which i could afford coz my budget is only 3000 :( a lil bit less then that :P i saw it in carefore in city center is it a good camera or should i go for another it had a 3 lense kit and was for 2699 should i buy it what do you guys suggest ?
I bought a Canon 1000D and its awsome some photographs i took on the way home and they are just simply awsome :)
buy the canon camera you want..canon is a good choice

thats what i needed :P thanks for the advice i will go with it .. i m also a beginner so i don't think i will need a very very professional and advanced camera :P because whats the use of having an aeroplane if you can't fly one :P stick with a car at first haha :P i will learn my photography on this camera and then buy another one :) :)

I bought a compact camera with manual controls...pictures almost as good as an SLR - infact better than some SLR's...Canon S95.
I'd never end up carrying a SLR bulky camera after the honeymoon period and hence settled for a high end compact with manual controls. Slightly expensive and soo worth it. Btw i also have an SLR - but that i take only to football/tennis matches etc where carrying the camera is not a headache...for holidays, parties, everywhereelse i take the Canon S95...
as for me, not professional photographer, i wanted to buy Sony interchangeable Lens, NEX-5. shots like a DSLR. 14.2 MP camera with extended lens. compact and handy. QR 1,699 with 2GB memory stick and Case. :)
Canon 1000D (10 megapixel) is a nice camera. I saw a shop selling Canon 500D (15 megapixel) for 3,180 QAR. 500D is far better than 1000D
well canon or Nikon is almost like Pepsi and Coke - I love my Coke and refuse to drink Pepsi and rather change my order.

yes it is a good camera has all the functions you need to start. Even mirror lock up and you can take some awesome night pictures. The lenses that come with are good to start with but nothing to rave about but most kit lenses are like that. Get yourself next Christmas a sweet lens once you are competent using the camera.
Buy whatever you can best afford this time..We live only one life and that is also not guaranteed...Love your life and love your desires too..
