Vegetable market and wholesale market

Hi,
I went to the wholesale market on Saturday but couldn't buy anything as I had to buy boxes only of vegetables that I would have had to waste...

I was told that there is also a vegetable market where I can buy by the kg...can anybody explain me where it is?

Thanks...

Hi!

It is just behind the wholesale market you can ask any body there about the retail market.

Good Luck

I completely disagree

with that. In my experience (over 5 years here now) the Fruit & Vegetable market produce is BY AND FAR the best you can buy in Doha. The grocery stores have improved, but they cannot match the freshness from of the wholesale market.

Hi,

The vegetable market situated just beside the wholesale market. First U gets the fish market then the main car park. Then U get the vegetable market.

But one advice--- it’s always better to buy vegetable & fruits from the super/hyper markets from Doha. (Lulu/ Family/Vegi mart/Q mart/Carrefour/ etc) its fresh & cheaper than vegitable market in Salwa.

Vegetable market

You probably went to the one where you park your car in front of a row of shops selling produce? They sell in volume (boxes only) RIGHT ACROSS from it is the other more visited market. You have to go inside one of the open doors to see the true market. There you can buy just 1 tomato, 1 carrot etc.

They are next to each other.
