Used Car Advice

I'm considering buying a used car and would like to hear from others that have done the same. Who on here has bought a used car from a private seller? Is there any way to verify whether or not a car has been in an accident and/or if there is a lien against the vehicle (e.g. an outstanding bank loan)?

Normal practise,

1.we should check the welding connection of the body eg. open the boot & check the joint between main frame and body ( the curve shape which the absorber tied off)

2.test drive > 120 km/h - see any major vibration

3. take corner

4. the color of the body, if one of any parts have different or newly - go for details

5. roof frame - any bend? connection?

outstanding bank loan ?? what i knew, there are no center that monitor of the loan. anyone able to check it with almost 30 banks in doha??? but if the name transfer to our name completed means everything is okay.

***keep receipt for every payment done.

***better accompanied with friend (arabic speaking)

I heard

1.bank just can provide loan for year 2006 vehicle and above only.

2. First Finance tel 4559999 can provide loan for second hand car but since now i never can speak to them. Lack of staff ???

3. Repair & maintenance cost is so high & need to sacrifice our time - have to consider this before buy any car.

From my observation, the old car ( age more than 10 years) here is so expensive against their condition. the car age 2 to 6 years is more practical and less headache.

Anyone know which private company can provide finance/loan to buy any car aged more than 4 years? Please share with us.
