US Unlocked Iphone, is it working in Qatar??

Apple released last month their official unlocked Iphone in the US (can be used without contracts). The listed price (for 4S 16GB)is $649 on apple.com. I am seriously considering purchasing at apple.com and asking a relative to ship it to me here in Doha. Has anyone else used one of these Iphones in Qatar yet? Are they working without any issues on Qtel sims? Would greatly appreciate any feedback.

Yes they do work..friend of mine got it from US and is using Q-Tel sim.. so no issues

those phones are without contract, officially unlocked, so you will never face any problem..
