Training needed for Emegency Exits
Few weeks back, a well known mall caught fire.... lots of discussions happened in QL and offcourse the blame game followed.... The Result: All the malls started pulling up their socks, making the necessary changes as advised by the Fire Control Dept.
What is been overlooked is the lack of knowledge with the common people in times of Emergency. True, that most of the office buildings conduct Emergency Exit drills on a regular basis. Even underconstruction buildings train their labourers on the Fire evacuation procedure. But unfortunately, many people who work in small companies do not have the knowledge or have the experience of an emergency exit. It would be great, if regular drills are conducted in the malls so that even a driver or a housewife knows how to take care of themself. This will avoid injuries to a great extent in actual situations.
This is just a small point of view I felt like sharring.
True that it would cause a lot of inconvinence to the people but can be worked out smoothly if properly organised.
