im planning to buy a laptop next week.

which of this 2 should i buy???

All Toshiba's have a design flaw that makes them susceptible to an early death/crashes.

This is because of the air vent on the left hand side, it if gets plugged by your lap or any object you will overheat it and cause permanent damage.

HP/Compaq actually offers the best value for your money and I can't complain about how they are designed and built (although all laptops are the same to me, that design flaw with Toshiba is too much).

yes i can max it.. but it slows down when there's so much action. better to keep it mid resolution mid details with high textures, high shadows and high smoke details..

what games do u want..?

HP's power back up sucks big time, it will give you max 30 min..phewwww

Fear 2 run amazingly..

don't have Fall out 3 or GTA 4...

but i did the Can You Run It test.. and they work just fine..

my suggestion if u change ur mind is to never ever look at the graphics memory, it is pretty much useless without a good GPU. as u say u r a gamer always check the card specifications and reviews on the net.

Based on the specs alone, I'd say the HP is the winner. Its got 6mb l2 cache and a blue ray rom drive.. So why are you in doubt.. whats the price difference between the two?

You should go with the qosmio as u say u r a gamer, so the superior graphics will help u a lot.

9600M has 32 processors@ 180 MHz whereas the 9700M has 48 processors @ 180 MHz
