Is there a Plasma TV with 4:3 physical format?
By Translator •
I was shopping last night for a new Plasma TV. I was under the impression that they are sold in different shape formats, but I was only able to find 16:9 format.
I know one can change the settings to any format they want, but that it is not practical at all. Majority of time used for TVs are for the classic 4:3 format.
So either I have to change the settings to 4:3 format, which waste much of the display areas from sides, or live with the streched image, which make every person on TV looks short and fat.
Do you know if a Plasma TV of 4:3 ratio exist?
There is no 4:3 format of Plasma available in the market today. 16:9 is the latest format that is ready for a digital TV. I would suggest using a 16:9 coz most of the movies now a days are 16:9 formats and you have the option to change into 4:3 TV viewing. The black borders are normal for a standard video format but if you want to be exact on the figures like making the circle to be perfect rather than appeared oval. you can use a devise to process this set up. And it would cost you like a QR 3T. Good luck and enjoy watching.

i undestand your are flustrated by the black bars which appear on either side of your tv.
But when you play a widescreen movie you will be wasting the bits at the top and bottom. Either way you can't win!
