Still Looking for a Motorcycle
Hello QL Community!
Been in country 2 weeks and have been shopping to set my hacienda. In all my travels I have not seen any motorcycle sales. OK. found a Harley Davidson shop near the airport. No interest in Harleys, but I looked in the window. Also found a small "marine supply" shop that had 5 used cycles. Haven't been able to catch them open during Ramadan. Does anyone know of a proper dealer? I heard "on Salwa Road", but have yet to spy it on 3-4 trips upanddown the road. Does anyone know a landmark it is near? West of the Mercedes dealer? East of the Mercedes dealer? I have seen many delivery Honda 165's so they have to be getting them somewhere??? I am interested in any brand in any condition (except Harley)
Thanks for your help!
55415058 any bikes for 15k or less but good condition
preferably ninja 250 r
looking for a used ninja 250r for 15k please all reply
I think the first thing you need to decide is what type of bike you are looking for. Are you going to use this for transportation, dirt, or fun? Because your jumping from a dirtbike, to a sport bike, then a cruiser lmao.
You can't go wrong with a jap sport bike. I am a loyal suzuki rider but have owned yamaha, kaw's. GSXR's are very popular and reliable.
That CRF450 do you plan on taking off the nobbies and putting street wheels and tires? You want Motard?
try this if you like DUCATI

Both closed on Friday.
As I don't have wheels, yet, can't get to showroom anytime I want. The new Honda showroom looks great. I can lust for a new CBR, but really just want to look at what's available. Through the window I did see a model I've not seen in the U.S.
Didn't know that Al Jazeera was across the street. Surrounded by trees? I saw a pretty minor radio tower, but didn't see any dishes or big buildings from the road.
Kawi dealership was easy to find. I'm hoping they have a used KLR 650. Prices look steep.
Met a German couple looking for a cruiser. Think they wanted the Harley (next door) but will probably settle on the V-Star. Next weekend I'll search out Al Fardan and the used shops on Al Matar. They seem close to where I live.
What about "Speed Marine" on Salwa Road? Just zooming by in a car it looks like they have quads and maybe a variety of vehicles.
Maybe I'll end up with a HeroHonda Unicorn and just ride the wheels off of it!
roundabout. If you are coming from Oryx R/A, it's in your right before reaching TV R/A, just as you pass the newly-constructed State Mosque!
info guys..thanks
"Out towards Kalifa", what does that mean? Is kalifa a town? Is it a street? Is it a neighborhood? My driver and everyone I ask is not sure. Google Maps doesn't give me the address for Al Jazeera Network either. Can you describe where that is?

and I think the salwa domasco honda showroom along with the standalone car showroom and they were both moved to the new place.
ildoha brings up a good point, you should also check qatarliving for used bikes. I dont know how to get to the page through any links on the site, but if you search for 'motorbike' in the search bar and go through the first result there is a general forum for used bikes.
Hi,
Haven't seen much used motorcycle dealers, but few used car dealers often sells used motorcycles as well like Platinum Motors in Salwa road, also it's a good idea to browse the listing in www.qatarsale.com or even Al Fardan motors used vehicle division.
But in the other hand if you're planning to buy a new one, there's Honda Located on Salwa Road, near Qatar decoration roundabout, Suzuki (Teyseer motors near Qatar Airways office in airport road), Kawasaki by Naser Bin Khalid, Wakrah, Triumph, Ducati, BMW, Vespa, KTX, all sold by Al Fardan Motors Al Sadd.
All above dealers sells medium to high end motorcycles.
Hope the above info helps.
Regards,
A fellow motorcycle fan....
Why don't you go to the New Honda Showroom opposite Al Jazeera Network?
Hi, had seen a used DUCATI monsterbike on QL for 36,000, please check it out if interested.
OK! You've given me about 2 weeks of research and travel opportunities. I am not an impulsive shopper so I will probably visit every single one of those locations before I take the best offer.
My ideal cycle would be a Honda CRF450 L so I can street it and go off a bit. I have a VFR at home, but use it for touring- not speed.
I understand the prices are not cheap. I need to get my first paycheck Oct. 1st before anything happens.
Thanks for the information and I will keep checking this post to stay in touch.
real scooters and not child scooters!
Casey, hey man, you covered it all, good
hey man,
I did quite a bit of looking myself and never settled on a dealer that wasnt asking for pretty rediculous prices, with the exception of kawasaki and a few bikes for sale at fardan. Anyway, the kawasaki is in wakra, you head south out of doha towards wakra, drive to whats known as the 'seashell roundabout' turn around and itll be on your right next to a harley dealership, its right by where the roundabout is.
Theres also a new honda showroom out towards kalifa thats a combination of their car and bike showroom, but when I went there a few weeks ago they were still setting the place up.
Theres a secondhand bike shop called dream team thats on matar street, if the airport is on your left then itll be on your right at the end of a service road with lots of car repair related shops around it. Its a bit small and most of their bikes are borderline destroyed, but you can occassionally see a decent ride in there.
The Suzuki showroom is also on matar street in attached to a car showroom called teyseer, its on the same side of the street as the dream team shop, but is several blocks before it. The shop has a large mobil 1 sign and is tough to miss.
The place that sells yamaha bikes is a tv, vacuum, bike and atv shop called mushiri, its like a small department store and is by the jaidah flyover.
The al fardan bike showroom has ducati's and triumphs primarily but also sells a bmw or two, ktm's and a few other things I believe, their site is http://www.alfardanmotorcycles.com/branches.htm and they are near fareej bin mahmoud I believe.
Good luck and let me know if you need a riding buddy when you get your wheels settled.
