Spinneys opening in The Mall

Its not gonna be sooo crowded at least we can breath properly..I wish they have monoprix here too.

Ikea is scheduled to be opened here but not until December 2010. That was on their website last year. Matalan is also advertised as opening in West Bay in 2010.

IKEA? Like the crappy furniture place?

We are still waiting for IKEA to open?

mjamille, only if you know somebody on the US base or travel out of Qatar often. Both of which I don't have. Unless you know something that I do not.

pork is available with or without Spinney's.. :P

If they do manage to sell pork, how long will they be able to continue to do that? 1 month, 1 week, 1/2 a day?

I do not think any of the spinneys will be selling pork in Qatar; the Mall branch will open at least in three months

I heard that the Mall branch almost got permission, then swine flu hit, so now they're back to having to secure it all over again.

BUT I heard another branch is opening at the Pearl, and because they operate under different rules there (a trade free zone or something) that branch of Spinney's WILL have pork on sale.

I was there few days ago, and still no sign of when it is opening. It just says opening soon... ''soon'' in Doha can b a long long time...

well, the space that Q-mart used to occupy already has a sign for Spinney's.. haven't checked if they're already open..
