Shoppers without face masks will not be allowed at Al Meera outlets from Friday

In a bid to safeguard the health of its customers and ensure a safe shopping experience, Al Meera Consumer Goods Company has made it mandatory for all shoppers at its branches to wear facemasks. 

This decision comes under Al Meera's precautionary measures in light of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.

In a tweet on its official Twitter page, Al Meera announced,  "We will no longer allow shoppers without face masks in our branches, effective Friday, April 24."

Moreover, Al Meera asked shoppers to "ensure that you bring your face masks with you."

"We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for understanding,” Al Meera added.

Recently, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) also issued some guidelines on how to use masks safely.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) has also been driving efforts in ensuring the availability of face masks at different pharmacies and regulating the selling price.

Meanwhile, health authorities in Qatar continue to implement the highest level of monitoring, detection, and management procedures to deal with the virus, the public has been advised to follow certain measures to safeguard their health.
