i have 7 year old boy and im planning to buy him either of this three...ps3, xbox or wii...but cant decide which one.
i want a game that moves not only his finger or hands but also his body. i want him to experience real game since he cant do it outside our house. we are living in a flat / building and no place for him to play except our sitting room.
i dont want him just to sit and play, i want physical movements involvement to him also.

can u correct me if im wrong with the info i got?
ps3 is hardrive better than all with blu-ray & free online games but need to buy sensor and additional move controller if i want to play with him.
xbox has a nice color reflection that the 2 & no need for the move controller just the sensor
wii need also to buy additional move controller if we want to join him in the game.

can u advice me which one is best for his age and how much it will cost me?

Thanks in advance.

and as a father of a 4 yr old, I would definitely recommend the Xbox Kinect . The Wii is fun too and makes sense if you are a fan of "Ninetendo" only titles (Mario,Final Fantasy,Zelda etc).

But if the main purpose is to ensure that your son is physically involved in the game, then the Kinect it is. With the Wii its easy to "cheat" and not move much since you have a controller .Not so with the Kinect, since your body is the controller.

That said, a gaming console is no substitute for time spent actually doing something outdoors. If you are in an apartment building with no play-area and/or not enough kids to play with - have you considered other activities like enrolling him in a swimming class, tennis lessons maybe,go cycling on the corniche/parks a couple times a week ?

Maybe you already do some or all of what I'm suggesting above, in which case that gaming console isn't a bad thing

I have the PS3 move and the Wii. Wii is around 2 years now - used it initially and it is in storage now :-) PS3 move a recent buy since i already had the PS3 for 4 years.

The PS3 machine is better than the Xbox (you can use it to play blu-rays and i've always had Sony). However i believe for motion gaming xbox kinect is a better technology - since you do not require external joy sticks to use (unlike the move controller).

If you are new to all three machines then Xbox Kinect wins cause the games are better and you do not need a seperate controller (this is only for motion gaming for your kid). Both move and kinect need camera's.

Wii is the cheapest but the technology is old.

Conclusion - i'd still however recommend for your kid to run outside and play with other kids :-) His eyes won't get spoilt either and its more fun playing with a bunch of kids. ahhhh i miss my childhood - the best years of life. I'm happy i didn't spend it in front of the television. btw do take your kid to aspire or al bidda park where he can enjoy fresh air and have some physical activity - which can no ways compare with any gaming device

ps3 & xbox are for hardcore player. games are mostly shooting, RPG, etc.

base on your scenario, i suggest wii. wii is for leisure player, family, its game is simple, fun and a lot of sports games that require u to move ur body.

My Suggestion would be to go for PS3, Pay a Little More & Let your Son Experience the Gaming Technology, and if you want to Go for WII which is Ultimate Fun, but Graphics are not Like PS3 or XBOX360....
