I went to check out the price of memory sticks for PSPs at the weekend. I got a shock. Virgin Megastore in Villagio had non-branded 4MB sticks for QAR 229 (about 50 quid). I later checked on Amazon.co.uk and found Sony ones for 14 quid. Is this normal?

Yep, though it is now the Mercure Hotel - go figure.

No, it's not normal. Don't buy from Virgin, there are many much cheaper shops - try Carrefour or Sofitel souq.
