Pre owned car

I am looking for buying a pre owned saloon car. How would be the ownership transfer? One car was located, he wanted me to clear up his bank loan and then he would transfer the car. This is not acceptable, since after the money is paid by me to his bank, towards his loan and car would still remain his until the document name tranfer to me. This I find is not safe to do. Whats the way please?

Best way to make an agreement and get it attested from the Doha Court. Other option is to go to Traffic dept and there are some typing offices they will guide you ... they are expert in such cases...

Never pay the money unless you have agreement attesed by the revelant authorities  to avoid fraud !

When I sold my car, I got the money and both, the buyer and myself, went to the traffic dept at Madinat Khalifa.  Transferring ownership of the car took only 5 minutes.

Thats fine if bank loan is there. In another instance, no bank loan. Is it normal to ask to transfer the car to my name, show the documents, I pay him full money and he shall hand over the car and document to me?

Look, that's the way things are done here. If you have a doubt that you will be cheated, then look for another car.   The guy cannot transfer the vehicle without getting clearance from his bank ! Or, you can take over the loan in your name - that's safer.
