I am a teacher looking for a podium for my students. I do not need a large or formal one, just a half-sized one that I can place on a desk so that my students can practice speaking in front of a group.

If you have any ideas, please let me know! Nothing too expensive, please. ALSO--if you have one you'd like to sell or give away, please let me know.

All of the Hotels use Podiums for their Conferences / Events I think your best bet is to contact the Events / Banqueting Manager of a couple of 5* Hotels and ask... they will know best.Maybe they even have old ones which can be donated.
