Nokia’s 1st double SIM phone in Qatar

Consolidated Gulf Co. (CGC) has launched the first ever Nokia double SIM phone in Qatar. Nokia C1 comes with a standby battery time of up to six weeks, the longest ever for a Nokia phone, plus room for 500 phonebook entries and 250 text messages onboard. Sporting a 1.8-inch full colour screen, Nokia C1 is 15mm thin and weights only 73 gram. It also has FM radio, 3.5mm headset jack, call divert functionality, flashlight and pre-installed games, meaning Nokia C1 is as much about entertainment as it is about convenience, that too at a very cost effective rate.
Nokia’s first 2-in-1 double SIM device carries great convenience features at very affordable price. For example, Nokia C1 has a ‘call divert’ feature that ensures users don’t miss a call from either of the two SIMs. Moreover, by simply holding down a key, a user can switch between the two SIM cards in the phone. This enables them to take advantage of reduced call rates. Since people in Qatar normally keep 2-3 SIMs, this wonderful device would be very handy for them as it offers flexibility when traveling from one country to another.

In sum, Nokia C1 is well equipped to meet the mobility needs of consumers who are looking for double SIM phone for various reasons including economizing time and costs, improving efficiency and for increased convenience.

Samsung has launched a new dual simcard phone a few months ago. Samsung B 7722.

http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_b7722-3362.php

I believe it's around 360 USD.

Looks like a decent phone.

last comment done it! why are you guys trying to make CGC's PR man cry? lol

obviously, this model is not tailor made for you techie people... it's for those who value money and spend it on other important matters..

Most expats are here to work so they can send money back home.. a lot of us has to use 2 phones for their local and roaming numbers... but not every1 can afford or has the privilege to buy 2 phones..

C1 is made for practicality... who cant afford it for 100 riyals? not all expats are as lucky as you guys...

For sure, Nokia has made a lot of people happy...

^___^

This phone is just a piece of junk nothing more.

you use only one simcard, second one is not active when you use the other one.

After so many years they have just come up with a simcard storage device :)

Bad design.

Old technology.

no dual-active simcard.

I am shocked to see such a model from nokia.

I've seen a Nokia 5800 imitation china-phone that can accept text and calls from two sims at the same time, you don't have to switch sims. How can they do that while the mainstream mobile makers cannot?

Rizks the source is the Nokia's Country Manager here in Qatar who is my neighbour and he told be that 90% of the Nokia's sold in the Middleast are being manufactured in India.

Ok Rizks ask anyone who has bought a Nokia lately where it is made. The box will clearly say in India!

Be proud man..:0)
