NEW Fish Market "auction" hall

The Doha Municipality yesterday opened a new auction hall at Central fish market on a trial basis. The hall, built on 1,000 sq m, is fully air-conditioned and has several electronic doors. It is divided into sections for auctioning big and small fish. A team of veterinary doctors and auction supervisors will be on duty to oversee the procedures.  The hall will function from 11pm to 10am every day in keeping with the time when the fishermen bring in their catch. The auction will begin at dawn after the Fajr prayer and continue until 10am.
