Massage Chairs
Anyone thinking about buying a massage chair - think very carefully.
I bought one (I-Rest) 9 months ago, and it broke after 6 months. The company I bought it off has since left Qatar and I have not been able to get the thing repaired. Another agent is now importing them and refused to help me despite my offering to pay for service engineer.
Thes people are now based in Villagio, just outside of Carrefour, and after I shouted at them, they offered to sell me a replacement part - cost around 10 QAR for 1000 QAR - I think they expected that I would give up. So I now stopped shouting and started SCREAMING at them. They saw their customers drifting away, and when I threatened to come back every day and do the same, they eventually agreed to send me an engineer - I DID NOT WANT A FREE SERVICE - I AM WILLING TO PAY!!!
Will they leave the country before their warranties expire like the last agent did?? Will they do repairs after warranty expires???
BE VERY WARY OF THESE PEOPLE
I have managed to get some help from Carrefour (thank you) - who put me in touch with the original importer from Dubai, who are now fixing the chair.
But be very careful with the chinese agents you will find in Villagio - here today - gone tomorrow.
The sooner I fall behind, the longer I will have to catch up....
If you have difficulties you can go to the Chamber of Commerce, that is why it is there and you can state your complaint - please remember to take you invoice and other documets with you they will file a complaint and the company will be black listed.
Only with this will you manage to take these black sheep off the market and relieve others of the same disappointment.
i was thinking to buy that i-rest, back in Asia there is a brand call Osim that really famous selling all sort of massage chairs and the likes. For this I-rest ... after i tried it on and have a look at the product ... dont think their product as good as Osim.
So i think now defenitely a no no for that I-rest.
Thanks for the head up.
