Marks & Spenser: Shirts and food

By Think-Twice •
Hello,
I like wearing M&S shirts at work, and in HK they offer shirts in smaller sizes to fit Asian men's bodies. May I check, in Doha's M&S, do they also supply shirts in Asian men's sizes? Do I need to stock up here before I come to Dohar?
Also, does M&S there have a large food section? Our favourite cookies and soups and canned beef are all available?
Thanx.
F'co
yea right, as if men dont like to shop.

Alexa...we must go shopping together.i love buying variety for a good price.
Pothole, i fully understand what you say, i took the shops names as examples.your point about budget retailers is true too, and they get away with it.
i will leave it at men and their varied tastes :-D
Cheers
Enjoy the weekend.

Han19 - Though I have never shopped from or know where karaba st. is, I can assure you MS and Debenhams are no upmarket retailers. Many a time I find myself with that MS trouser or Debenhams shirt that falls apart after one wash (I do read wash instructions). Or, is wrongly tailored - funny fit on one sleeve, or stitches gone askew, smudged colours etc. I even had a couple of trousers from MS (450QR a-piece) whose white lining showed through the stiches when stretched. I observed this (or, rather a colleague observed it first) after a week of use. Rather than take it up with MS, I just chucked them into the bin.
M&S, Zara, Massimo, Debenhams are no more than budget retailers who market themselves as upmarket stores here in ME.
Give me Target anyday.
then, my dear, i stand corrected.
you probably do get varied sizes over there.
but going by the men in my family, what i do know is that, they are usally very fussy about how the collar stands, how the buttons look and how the shirt ultimately fits and how their tie will look over it, the crease of the trouser, how a suit will sit on teh shirt, and other such tiny details.
based on that observation, a guy prefering M&S, Zara, Massimo, Debenhams may not want to shop from Kahraba street.this is just my opinion.

Try Pierre Cardin in City Center. Their Italian tailored shirts are bit on the slimmer side. Also Debenhams have fitted shirts.
Indian stores that sell Van Heusen, Louis Phillipe and Arrow are a bit on the ample side (American fits).
Alexa, what a comparison from the M&S to Indian and Pakistani stores in Kharaba street.Dont take it as sarcasm, but there is no comparison here, my dear.
Splash is ok, but karhaba street clothes ....quality???
M&S has cookies, not sure about the soups.
better stock up your clothes and come.

M&S in Doha don't do Asian men's sizes. Their food section is somewhat limited.
