Ashfaq...If you want it cheap...

Then stick to a processor speed of 1.8 Ghz (thats the slowest you'll get in the market), and it doesnt have to be Duo Core or Core 2 Duo.

The Ram has to be minimum 1GB as it is shared with Graphics Chipset.

80GB HDD

DVD-R drive

Wi-fi ready

Built in webcam & mike.

I dont think you will get it below QR2,000.

In fact, I guess you'll be lucky if you can get anything below QR 2,400.

And dont get Windows Vista installed on this processor - it will slow everything down to a snails pace

Install Windows XP & Linux on it.

I'm not a big fan of Dell, nor HP, for computers.

Whatever you do, DON'T buy a Compaq. Absolute rubbish.

I am using a Toshiba and love it. I would also buy a Fujitsu. If it's a Japanese electronic, it's good. Cars, computers, what have you.

Macs are nice computers too. I am now getting to use a Mac at work, and while it was a bit awkward at first, it doesn't take much to get the hang of. If you ever want to do anything with graphics or telecommunications, get a Mac. That's how Cornell ended up with going with Macs.

Seriously, i mean you can get one for about 6000 riyals, and in the long run they will not require much maintainence. so you will benefit. by it. now you can get it in virgin megastore or almana (which isreally bad service)
