GLOW american salon
hi ,
just wanted to share my very positive experience at glow american salon in West Bay branch, loved my hair so much felt compelled to share my experience as i've had many disasters in the past and know how important it is to get it right considering the cost of hairstyling here in Doha.
I had copper and blonde highlights done on long dark wavy hair by a lebanese lady called NEMO and then had my hair layered by a british lady called therese. I was extremely happy with the highlights which look very neat, professionally done, well blended and just the way I wanted (NO signs of brassy, orangey bleach). The hair cut too is just perfect and the blow dry was great too. Nemo is lovely and really listened without being bossy and prescriptive like some hairdressers.
The only gripe was that when therese washed my hair it was excruciating!!! i felt like my hair was being ripped out of my head but i guess thats just her way of giving my roots a really good massage!
the receptionist is super helpful and friendly too, i wasn't ble to print my voucher at home so she let me use her computer to download it from my email and print it off there and then.
Great salon in a gorgeous location, and doesnt cost much more than most salons round here which do a terrible job!
i never had nail so bad done like in American salon (nail done by girl Nikki) , but the top of that it was customer service even worst, I did not hear even one time apology from the lady name Matilda (supervisor for nail section) or any interesting to sympathize with me, but she admitted that nail is so bad done, with no quality and esthetic look . I will post photos as well, just to be sure other girls see other side of so called professional work at this salon
maddy, Where is DADOS located?
Please do not make the mistake of going to GLOW!!! Iam from melbourne and I had a terrible experience over there and vowed to never go there again. The hairdresser "KYLIE" was rude and obnoxious. I felt extremely uncomfortable. Just horrible and too heavily priced for its value.
I would recommend DADOS instead, the prices are very reasonable and the service is EXCEPTIONAL.friendly staff and lovely atmosphere.

P.S my friend had a colouring disaster at glow as well. the lady KYLIE was unprofessional and did half her hair only and made up an escuse. PLEASE DONT GO THERE.
I had my hair cut and colored at the Glow on Salwa Road and it was a total disaster! They left the color in my hair (touching my scalp) for too long. The hair cut was not what I asked for. Two days later, I went to the doctor and she had to give me steroids and antibiotics to clear up the blisters on my scalp. The doctor told me never to return to that salon again! Therefore, anyone that wants to give Glow a try, good luck to you! I paid 700 QR for my one and only visit to Glow. In my opinion, Glow is way overrated!
i called several other salons including tulip and london salon for a quote, they were all quoting similar prices. i believe the money was worth it, i get compliments from everyone and for once i dont have to go for post -disaster colour correction and fork out more money!
Where's my phone.. I really must try it.. I haven't had my roots touched for ages .. :O(
When I went home last year, I had my hair and nails done for Qr300....
Thats precisely the reason I don't go to Glow.
