Fish market timing changed
The Doha Municipality has changed the timings for the sale of fish at the Central Fish Market to 7am to 1pm and 7pm to midnight, a report published in Arrayah says. Violation of these timings may entail a fine of QR30,000. The report said traders and fishermen are upset over the new timings. Retailers are protesting because the actual sales activity for them begins everyday at 12 noon and goes on until 3pm which is the usual time for the closure of the market. “The new timing will result in much financial loss for us,” said Yusuf al-Manai a Qatari national who is in the fish trade. He explained that retailers buy only limited quantities for the evening shift.

... to keep all the fish fresh during those hours that they are not working in the afternoon. The timing for summer months is not good at all!
After ARAMEX turn right on the Maamoura R/A then just go straight and you will reach another small R/A then just go straight and on you right u will see it
Van Most, it is in Abu Hamour
BTW, what's the location of this fish market?
That fine...
two split shifts for fisherman to sell stale fishes.....in the late evenings!
s_isale!
whats the point in having evening timings?
I dont see how it will result in financial loss. People that want to buy fish will have to go buy it according to the given timings or not eat fish. Makes no difference. Those that cant make it in the mornings are free to go from 7.00pm to Midnight. For someone like me thats a good time :P
