I just can't imagining how long it would take if Qatar is building underground city where the air is comfortable for daily activities.
In Shinjuku,Japan you can walk for hours in underground levels that wide-connected like an underground city.
Is that cooling thing working properly here?
Cause in my home town lots of theme park using that technology in mid day only in a condition that humidity is suitable..unlike here where the humidity is more than 30%

This is simple evaporative cooling. It does work in humid conditions. Bahrain-Saudi Causeway authority use it on the bridge to great effect.

It can be easily achieved...ok not so easily.
Doha cannot be cooled...but a new city being built from scratch can be built under a dome or even under the ground like a bunker...
1. All vehicles plying in the city will be electric vechicles 2. The cooking too will be done by Electric Tungstun wires...
3. Of course people living there cannot smoke.
4. No fire/flames will ever be used.
5. Anything cause smoke will not be used.
Its not so hard....come on guys brain storm.
Finally it will be a lot cheaper than what they have planned for 2022 FIFA grounds.... :)

Yes its more function in dry area. but this solution maintain cool air which keep outdoor area refresh long without wetting or increasing humidity. i saw it in many places in Qatar. i will send the profile once received from them...
Dream dream and dream. They can make fog and as mentioned by Epicurean the cooling system is not going to work here in 50C and 80% humidity.
Go outside now..natural fog is there already! But do not forget your dust-mask.! lol
COOL but eexpensive
Systems like this only work in a dry heat, like Arizona and only if the water is cooled down. In a place like Doha, it will just add more hot moisture to the humidity.
We are blessed to have this naturally back home. Anyways... That's Cool to have it here.
