Oh my God, what the heck is going on. Everything seems to get so expensive.. We even go to the supermarket and nothing less than QR500 is bought.

Anyone else thinks this too??

a loaf of bread

a pack of arabic bread (kobous)

1 bottle hair conditioner

1 small butter of cream cheese

a small tub of margarine

1 can of sardines

a box of feminine liners

moutable - about 5 riyals

cooked rice

25 grams of chili fish

25 grams of italian pasta

25 grams of mixed veggies

TOTAL: 93.25 QATARI RIYALS...expensive?

For me, it is expensive since I buy cooked food instead of cooking. I work 8am till 6PM 5 days a week and I do work some more at home...

but if I buy everything for a month's consumption...I guess QAR300.00 would cover for my toiletries and groceries.

who told its expensive?

i dont agree....

i think you people eat pizza kfc hardies mc etc..

live a simple life....

it will cost you only 30rq for a month....

or if you eat some expensive food like biriyani once in a week. then it will cost 58qr...

if you like more expensive food then max 150qr per month.

and need not do any exercise, since we are doing that under the hot sun....

and you need not spend money in hospital for sugar, cholesterol, high blood pressure, and over weight...

Commodities prices were expected to come down after Eid, on the contrary they have started shooting up, and prices for rice would also increase (expected) due to the floods in pakistan. So you are right, even though we pay higher prices for each and everything the quality of the product is still poor.

I think we should go on a diet, two birds with one stone

1- demand would be less, driving prices down.

2- health would be better.

over here it seems. And to think that last month it was in the papers that prices of some commodities will go down. Which ones and where? Any price increase would greatly affect low to middle wage earners. Overall, it's bad for business! :(

It's not GETTING expensive, it already IS expensive compared to other cities in the world. And you get less value for money compared to other places in the world.
