You are not suppose to squabble on something which is almost illegal in Qatar. Beer or Acholol are strictly controlled and are available for purchase from QDC by presentation of Liqour permit. Its a sole distributor so theres only one fixed price.

The anxiety of not having beer one day, force me to drink my own fermented and natural distilled beer, Guess what it was?
I'll guarantee you it will desalinate any urge of drinking beer for a long time.
"beer" and "family" don't go together in Qatar... actually it doesn't go together well anywhere in the world...
...go to the pub, the cheapest beer you can have there is about $US10.
or get some beer from QDC, make BBQ in the backyard of your villa and entertain your family...

By cheap beer I mean affordable Fosters,Castle or Kaiser(European or African) etc, not Red horse or other Asian Drinks.
