Buying a macbook pro off apple online store

I'm planning to pick up a macbook pro from either an eBay seller or the apple.com store, cause the prices here in Doha are ridiculously expensive!

I'm having some problems with the procedures, and I'd really appreciate help from the QL'ers!

Ive set up an Aramex shop and ship account with a NY 11413 address. Has anyone bought off stuff from the US apple.com ? Do they accept qatar credit cards and aramex forwarding addresses?

I'd got a good deal off ebay but the guy would only accept paypal payments with matching shipping and billing addresses =( ! Paypal does not differentiate between billing and shipping addresses, so I cant add my local billing address!!

Amazon does not sell the macbook pro I want ( with the 7200rpm HDD and hi res glossy screen)!

Thank y'all in advance!

Do you guys know anyone who has used the US apple store to get stuff to doha?

B&H is the best I purchase all my electronics there... 3-4 days for delivery by UPS or fedex, and 30% cheaper

What you said is absolutely right. I had a similar experience in buying a high end Sony Vaio laptop of Intel i7-720qm, 6GB RAM, 1GB graphics memory, 500GB Hard disk, LED Screen, 16.6" wide screen. In Qatar there were only 1 or 2 pieces and the price was about QR.7500. I did an online shopping from B & H store in the United States and got it delivered to my home(by UPS) for QR.5,200 only. But to avoid taxes by Qatar Customs, I had to provide a copy of my Qatari ID only to prove that it was for personal uses.

I suggest you to do online shopping since most of the electronic goods are expensive in the GCC and especially Qatar.
