Buying a GPS for the car
By Tyrotrainer •
Would appreciate advice where (or not) to buy a GPS for my car. There was one model in Carrefour, the sales staff were clueless and the installation CD was the Indian version!!
I'd like to buy in a shop where they understand the product, and a model that covers Qatar, or at least is easy to get downloads for.........oh, and has regular/frequent updates available (as the road network in Doha is changing so fast).
Any ideas on good brands (eg Garmin, Tom Tom)?
Thanks
If you dont want to go in deserts, there is no need of GPS device in Qatar... Man, there is only one major city called Doha and u need GPS for it? :)
i prefer garmin not because i'm a gps-user but because of its easy-to-use applications. sales staffs from carrefour or any other shops (i guess) for that matter that sell these devices will not be able to explain to you how a gps works. they were not trained to operate these gadgets. just grab one and google it or you can even download the instruction manual from their website.
cheers!
garmin is always the best... anyway u can have it on ur mobile, i have it on my mobile for free, with all middle east countries... goodluck
