BEWARE OF THIS SCAM IN QL!!!

There are many like this in QL. if you insist on buying loclally on local person with local currencey, then you wont get in to this kind of scam .. anyway thanks for sharing

next time... be wise like a serpent... when buying stuff online, never send payment by western union or any money transfer way, pay thru credit cards or paypal instead but only at legitimate online market like e-bay etc.

Dear All,

There is this scamster saying he is based in UK and has clicked pictures of all cars with Doha NUmbers. Real car owners will be in for a surprise when they will have people Queing up with complaints of money lost. PLEASE MAKE PEOPLE AWARE ABOUT THESE B*****STRDS. They are using emails with @ LIVE. COM and have posted mobile numbers that do not work. Seems part of a larger network here ( how come so many numbers are not working but are giving a VM reponse of customer not available) SOmeone please alert QTEL also.

If anyone know CYBER CRIME numbers please alert them of this scam please.

fishy guys roaming around us. for electronic devices, u'll find them easily around landmark. big group of phone mafia. they just cheat you and escape easily. u'll never find them back again. 

It is a big scam,... be careful

There is one more person advertising used BMW car. He is says he is in london and needs proof that I am serious about  buying. So he wants me to send half the price of the car through Western Union to my relative name but addressed to London. Only after seeing the photocopy of this transaction he will fly to Qatar to sell the car. I wonder how genuine this person is.

Now you tell me :(

Thanks for sharing the info and feel sorry to you for being a prey to the scammers. However the mods has taken their action on the ad now.

just saw the mentioned Ad and it is "really fishy" (to say the least) because

there is no actual phone number to contact the seller,

all contacts are through email (not good)

and prices are really low (or in other currencies)

This is telling me at once that there something wrong with the item or items being promoted.

I'm so sorry that you have lost the money, and had a hard time. For next time I would suggest you to read the following Avoiding Scams and Fraud ; that is a must read before engaging into any business through classifieds.
