Audio books
Left field question...or maybe not!! Like a number of people I have a 45 - 60 minute drive each day to Mesaieed and back. Now I have just about learnt to cope with the maniacs in the low flying LC's (dont get me started!!) and unfortunately those well meaning folk over at QBS (Youre in the Gulf!!) have long since failed to stimulate - soooooooooooo i have amassed a quantity of audio books to while away the hours. Unfortunately, I have not found them in Qatar and have to stock up each time I go back to the UK. Anybody out there know if they are avaiable in Qatar and if so, where?? Alternatively, would be pleased to hear from anyone with a similar collection for swapping arrangement (keep it clean!) - PM me for that.
Thanks
Thanks Torc - that makes a lot of sense.
I have just started on the audio book system on the long daily trek across town. I bought mine online via Amazon. Seem to range between 5 pounds up to 17 odd. It cost Qrs.20/- for the Aramex courier to bring one over which had 4 CD's in it.
Thanks for your replies guys.
As an alternative you could try downloading podcasts on to an iPod or other MP3 player. There are loads of free stories available online as well.
I used to have a good selection back home. I am heading home today, and see what I have.
I am returning in about 2 weeks, and bring back what I can lay my hands on.
