The only sets I have been able to find are the 'cheap' kind that weigh almost nothing. (If anyone knows where to get the high quality kind in Doha please let me know).
Honestly, coming from a western country the chances of you getting searched are slim, the chances of them taking something as innocent as poker chips are almost unheard of.
I might be a bit late in answering this question, but YES, I can confirm that they will get confiscated at the airport. I learned that the hard way, when they took my clay poker set with the aluminum case that they came in:(
Well...just arrived from City Centre, none to be found!The brick and brack shop opposite the Hobby shop, they had them on sale about 4 weeks ago...should have bought it then and there! Now back to the drawing board, let the search continue...
Well to be honest, I saw poker chip sets at the City Centre!
Wanted to bring along my foldup table and chips, but read all the stories about it being confiscated and illegal, so left it in SA.
Dont ask me the name of the shop,when I have the shop name, I will post it to you guys. Will probarbly be going there this weekend to buy mine!It has the chips and the green velt mat.
