Ive been doing caricature ever since and it's my part time job here. If you want i can make you a caricature of your choice. I can make it with color or just pen black and white. There is a shop in Landmark, well actually a stall. If you walk past the PAUL resturant (it shold be on your right) then turn left and walk past the SAQR cd/dvd shop, one of the stalls in the walk way does paintings, sketches and charactures. The man who owns the stall is middle to old age (around 50) with sleek back hair and he is very rude! He will demand that you leave your photograph with him and collect it after 3 days. He will not discuss the price with you. Having said this i did manage to trick him in to telling me that he charges QR300 per sketch... and then he told me "... but if you come back later i will charge you QR500" and he said it very rudely!
Good luck if you go to him - i hope he is more polite to you than he was to me.
On the other hand, i had my characture done for FREE! I was walking along the Pearl broadway, and there was a street artisit who was doing it for free. You sit for him, and he does it in about 10 mins. He is a very nice old man (i think he is from Lithuania or Georgia... i cant remember correctly). This was about 2 months ago so i am not sure if he is still there, but well worth looking for him as he does a great job! He will also do any other kind of sketch for you and is happy to negotiate he price of whatever else you want.
