First i thought that it was only my personal obseRvation.
But later i came to know that its a fact where consumers are cheating so easily by leading supermarket of qatar

Me and my family usually visit Lulu .Because it was most convinient and familiar to buy indian foods. But for couple of weeks we went to other indian super markets also. There i shocked to relaise that the rates of some product is far different. In lulu it will be 6 riyals ,where in other it will be 4 or 5.But i didnt considered that as a big problem, because middleeast marketing is usually varies in prices. No fixed rates for any products. The other fantastic thing in LULU is that , lulu is filled of lulu products.Which are good for nothing.Doesnt have average standard.some of the items i suppose to throw out on using is LULU MEAT, LULU BIRIYANI RICE,etc.Once i asked the sales man ,he said " we are only keeping lulu products, wheather it is good or bad there are peoples to buy".

And next fantastic thing is delicious curries and sandwitchs. If you love your stomach never ever buy readymade sandwiches and mini pizzas from there.it will upset your stomach for 3 days. And about the curries..the most beautifull to see,but the worst to taste.

I have shared my experiances with many. Most of all agree with low quality of lulu products. But all are forced to buy because lulu is the most convient supermarket to find all the items. And the lulu cheating customers like this.
WHATS YOUR OPINION

How on earth will they be able to give away Merc Benz and other promotions they have..... They know for sure, that customers (specially Indians) would definitly wanna try their luck for these cars and dont mind spending high rates for their worst products....

Its like take it or leave it....

FFC is quite congested compared to LULU...It becomes really difficult to breath sometimes when FFC gets crowded...:D

Most of their vegetables sold under the banner of Indian Vegetables are not really from India. Most are coming from Oman.

I recently bought some flaked almonds from LuLu and when I got home and decanted them into a container,I discovered they were crawling with weevil bugs!!!! Uggggghhhh!

1. Do your grocery shopping at the Whole Sale market

2. Try Al Shafeer (sp?) Opp. FFC airport road.

3. Al Meera Mansoura

If i dont find what i need in these places only THEN i will go to LULU or FFC as the last resort, coz yeah they are big bloody cheats and everyone thinks they are cheaper than the rest but they are NOT!

LuLu will purposely reduce actual good quality stock and keep their products on shelves, just to show they are cheaper and conveniently "available".

I wonder if they have the license to "brand" their own products, coz every time i've been there i see something new!

But right now what options do we have anyways? Most supermarkets/hypermarkets in Qatar have their cons and cheating the consumer moments with no one place stocking all we need! Shopping for groceries is always stressful as a result..Allahu Must'aan!

Keeping carrefour products in mind I once bought lulu diapers for my year old son & they were of very bad quality. When my son answered the call of nature, the whole liquid came out of diapers in the first time itself, so I used the rest of the diapers only for his potty time ............ hhahaaha (what a beautiful description I have given :) hahahahahhaha)

Carrefour own products are good. I bought 1 room heater & 1 rice cooker of c4 line & they are very good & they actually look like they have been made keeping consumers in mind.

first thing differences in prices exist in a LOT of countries, if not all.... including the U.S...not only the middle east! second the owner of lulu is indian... third.. if you don't like shopping there.. and you think they are cheating you, and you think everything is crap! then STOP GOING THERE! how is it more convenient? if you hate everything about it??

They ARE cheating & the quality IS crap. I, personally, don't go there but I knew people who did. I went there once & realized all that you wrote. Theres another indian supermarket called Shoprite...the price differences there are so huge that it can actually make you laugh!
