HI, I will have about 6 hours in Doha before I catch my flight back. Will be staying in Al Sadd street. Any shopping place where i can find stuff like digital SLR camera, electrical and electronic stuff?
Also is there any MUST try kind of food while I am there?
why not. Take a cab down to sour area. Should take you 15 to 20 minutes. With any luck you may find cheap pyjamas. Traditional hookah etc. Souq is the last place you want to visit specially when you have 18 hours shy of a day. try carrefour. Get ur camera down there. Excellent collection. Be sure to catch a cab asap. You need a good 2 hours at the least to do minimal shopping and to navigate within the hypermarket which is located on the 2nd floor. Be sure to ask the cabbie to drive through 'Corniche' to break in your new camera with pictures of skyscrapers and the seaside recreational area (corniche) which is the focal pointo of the city. You can buy souvenirs at duty free.
Never mind what others have to say. I would say electronics are pretty cheap compared to australia and europe. And if you would rather save the shopping spree for dubai you will be saving a measley 3 to 7% on electronics and gold. Oh yeah gold. Dont forget to purchase a few gold goodies. They are say 50% cheaper than in anywhere in europe, US, Australia, russia or even china. This is because the market in qatar believes in 24 carat gold rather than feeble 18 carat rubbish. Moreover you get it for 30% or more cheaper compare to similar 18 cart jewelery in australia or europe. This is because of no or negligible making charges, No tax etc in this region.
Top it with a nice pastry or frappacino from costa cafe at the duty free lounge.
try the mexican shawarma in Al-Farouj in nasser street, and buy you cameas and electronics from either the carrefour city center or the duty free. thats best.
For shopping, Qatar is not the cheapest place, I mean if you have a stop-over in Dubai, you're better off purchasing from there.
In case you wanna shop, on Al Sadd, you have Centerpoint (Al Asmakh) mall, where you got e-Max, an electronics store. You have also NASR street, where many small electronics shops exist.
You can grab a cab to city center (20-30 mins) and go to carrefor for the best prices in town.

nice souvenirs in Souq Waqif - but again - they do close during the middle of the day
You can try Souq Waqif (the old souq). It's close to Grand Hamad street. You're better off just asking for "Souq Waqif" (pronounced sook waa-kif).
There are also some shops around there too, mall-like areas.
Be aware though that nothing is really open between 11am and 4pm, except maybe a few shops.
sourveniers, yes where about can I get?
try the mexican shawarma in Al-Farouj in nasser street, and buy you cameas and electronics from either the carrefour city center or the duty free. thats best.
And buy some suveniers too :)
