Have a trail on both cars for 7 - 7 days then decide .............. .................. never buy from a friend you will end up paying 10 % more because your mind won't allow you to reduce the asking price & you friend want to take advantage of this relationship .............. then if there is any fault in the car you can't ask him your money back or share the repair charges ............... !

Yaris is a pure Toyota . Tiida is a Renault under the skin. Go for the Yaris
Yaris is better than Nissan Tiida. While neither of the cars are suitable for off-roads, you must keep in mind from what I hear, that there is no insurance cover on any accidents that take place off-roads. You may need to check on this with the insurance companies. Also, insurance companies are somewhat hesitant in providing comprehensive insurance to vehicles which are over five years old should you want to have the car comprehensively insured.
i know both car are sedan and not suitable off road but it depends on how you are careful ... but from your answer i thought you saying yaris better?

Yaris, being a Toyota brand, has an edge over Nissan. Toyota spares are comparatively cheaper to Nissan. Yaris has a better resale value. You should be able to get either of the cars within QR 25000 depending on the condition of the vehicle.
