maybe you can head to the mazda showroom and tell them your concerns and see what they say about part availability...try to record the conversation discreetly so they can't backtrack later...apparently this is what customers do in other countries where dealers take customers for a ride by giving false assurances...but yes like MM said, you're thinking too much and probably have nothing to be worried about...
thestorm: no buddy, a new car will have full insurance (whatever that means in qatar) and of course mazda will have parts available for their latest cars ...older cars like mine yes, its a problem to get parts and they do have to order sometimes, so i get them myself online...man did you own a mitsubishi magna before by any chance? your terror about parts and availability makes me think so haha...that car makes its owners smile but it also makes them cry rivers when its time for repairs or new parts :-)
Metlan thanks for replying . .Am asking abt the parts...incase of accedent. ..and availability in company. ..coz am worried not to find some parts ...so that the car will park at home until the company order it from japan
If your mind is not free from the burden of repair costs / delays etc then you are not the right person to go for a new car ................. it's like disrespect to the brand new product ......... Its like as if the groom worries about his bride's health even before deciding the wedding date ............. !
Surprising ............ buying 2016 car & discussing parts costs in the same breath ............... ! It's same as if you have already bought a 10 years old car & about to take your car to a garage ............................................. ........
Yes all new cars have very generic shapes...to the extent that I feel if u removed the badges, most folk couldn't tell them apart..the 6 at least looks better and if I dare say so, more European premium than Japanese econobox...but yes it too looks like at least 2 other cars from the back and isn't my dream shape or car either...but as a drivers car, it is great even though its front wheel drive...no small achievement you'll agree :-)
Must say I like the Mazda 6 performance .. Not too keen on the overall shape ., I think it doesn't really flow . Having said that , it was voted best family car in 2014
brit: really? 800 isn't bad at all if it is indeed the full assembly; a Camry coil spring alone is 370 rials at the dealer. So, 'the.storm'; now you even have a factual example of how little the maintenance cost difference is between Mazda and their competition :-)
buddy, i dont own the mazda 6; but i will just tell you this...even my dreams are about cars...i've driven all three generations of the mazda 6 and it is absolutely the best mid-size sedan you can get right now at that price point...the only reason I don't have a 6 is that it doesn't come with a V6 engine, which is the minimum I need in a car. The camry, accord, optima and altima are soul-less and boring compared to the smile you will have in the 6. The parts and maintenance are slightly (SLIGHTLY) pricier than its rivals but all new cars have great warranties nowadays so it shouldn't even be a consideration...you care for the car it'll care for you...I'd imagine even the CX-5 should be the same, but I don't know much because I don't like SUVs or mini-SUVS or whatever...but yes, do not let these small considerations take you to the Toyota or Honda showroom instead. Just give Mazda your money and enjoy what you get in return. You'll thank yourself every time you drive it. Best of luck.
