Hii,

I enjoy 2 new brand cars and i will buy one of them.
1- Hyundai Tucson 2011 model
2- Nissan xTerra 2010 Model

But I can't prefer which one. Becouse;
a) Tucson is 2011 model. Xterra is 2010 model.
b) tucson has sunroof and leather seats, Xterra doesn't have these items. (No sun roof and cloth seats)
c) Xterra's offroad capacity better than Tucson. (Although I don't use this car so much.)
d) Xterra is a Japanies car. But Tucson is a South Korean. (I guess Japanies cars more prefer than the others in Qatar, maybe second han price, maybe service quality etc.)
e) XTerra's Performance better than Tucson.
f) Tucson have a new exterior view. (2011 models are changed)
etc. etc.

Expecially, I use this car for family and in the city not a offroad.
Also, When I will turn back my country, I want to sell quickly and better price.

If you were me, Which car do you prefer?

Second Half:

Choose the one that will make you happy and comfortable, because I think they are equal in terms of money.

I have only purchased new Hondas for my cars. I am old enough that my first Honda car was then a cheap car. They have raised their prices over the years, but I still buy them because I have never had a problem with them. I fret about money as much as anyone, but I come back to what will make me happy. Then price is forgotten. But I also buy them, drive them for 200,000 kilometers or 8-10 years, and sell them when they are dying. So I don't worry about re-sale value.

Huyndai Tucson gets very good consumer reviews. The south korean cars are not crap. An American magazine with a good reputation called, Consumer Reports, names it as a "best value". Meaning, it is not the best car, but you get the most for your money. Having said that, I don't know what the service availability is in Doha. But if you are buying a brand-new car, 2011, there should be few worries. You will sell it before any systems have a chance to deteriorate. (go bad)

On the other hand, I do agree with one answer that the loss in value is the most from brand-new to second owner. You will take a hit on either car if they are show room new. Both would be equal in this case if the Nissan is also "new" but model year 2010.

if i were you , i will go for a 2 year used care with less KM run and that too, i may get it much cheaper than the Korean car you refer. The fact is always the 1st seller loose money . The 2nd buyer when he seels he lose much lesser, and mind you you may have to sell that korean car by weight, this is the fact.

Do not waste your time on korean car unless you intend learning a lot about Automobile Engineering. Good luck

Mr. hms

thanks your reply.

I have just though only one concern about Xterra.

This is model year. 2010. You know all companies sell 2011 models nowadays an when i will sell this car, I lost one year already now.

Is tihs important or not? I don't know.
