sponsorship troubles
Dear all,
that is a story of a friend of mine who bought a Chevrolet car here in Doha,
he left the country already, anyhow he took the car to renew the licence/istimara, helas it failed due to brakes quality and bad gas burning, anyhow, willing to fix the problem and renew his istimara to sell the car and leave, he sent it to the only company who fix the Chevrolet coz they have the sponsorship only, to not talk much, it took him nearly 2 and a half month to get his car back, why coz they are requesting the items from Dubai...
really, during those months my friend suffered alot waiting and waiting, and trust me not him alone suffered.., and when he went to get it from there he discovered that his sunglasses and USP were staling :)...
i strongly do not recommend you to buy a chevrolet, it is a fantastic car coz i ride it with my freind but the spare parts and fixing can kill all that...
Why a company took a sponsorship for a car without providing its spare parts?????
You did not mention what model & year the car is. I'm using a Chevrolet car and I haven't had any such troubles so far. You should also understand that all the spare parts sales is bad in Qatar. But the worst I have come across is Hyundai & Mazda dealer. And then there are others like heavy equipment dealers where it will be almost impossible to find a spare for an old model machinery. That's how we survive in this country folks!
I think dealership trouble is what you mean. For such very important parts, your friend should have anticipated the much needed repair even before submitting it for inspection. This is especially true if it is an old car model. Also, if your friend takes good care of his car, observing proper maintenance and service, he would not have that problem at all.
Same story for most cars here. How many times have we heard, "Two weeks wait for a part from Dubai"?
