Renewal of Qatar driving license
I am on a visit visa from Dubai which I got on arrival. I have a driving license for Qatar but it is expired. I have U A E Driving licnese. How can i renew it here if I am on visit visa. Though we have got a branch here in Qatar and the sponsor has given Noc also. I had gone to Madinath Khalifa Traffic department. They said I can drive car here based on U A E driving license But i am still not convinced. Can any of our freinds throw some light on this.
First go to Madinat Khalifa Muroor in reception show your DL they will provide an application same fill and take sign from ur Qatar Visit Visa sponsor and eye test attach NOC letter then same place submit you can get temporary license. After you got Qatar Employment Visa? change local license.
Since you have a UAE D/L you must be aware of the rules and practices there also and no additional light is required in this matter. To renew a local D/L you MUST have a residence permit in that State. Some countries will give you can get a Temp. license valid for a fixed duration depending on the validity of the visa. You can get a valid Gulf D/L transferred to a local D/L within the Gulf States ONLY if you have an employment or residence visa.
You can drive for 2 weeks using that license. Later go madinat Khalifa and ask for temporary license
