I had a toyota Celica in Australia, and because the key no longer worked, they could not replace them as the car was older than 5 years, so I had to have a whole new ignition unit installed and the central locking renewed with the new codes of the new ignition. Cost me around $500AUD about 3 years ago, but then again you may be lucky enough just to have to get a replacement key..

You can order one from the Agent. They have to get it from Japan and It may take about 2 months. (My experience with Mazda)
